you see a tall tower in the distance that looks like lord enma's palace and head for it. after you beat it he joins your team and informs you that you can have 3 members on a team. the inkling is being controlled by lazoid and attacks you. you run into a inkling who they realize isnt a copy. after almost getting hit by a lazer beam they run. star looks at lazoid bravely while whisper hides behind star. you try and leave but lazoid comes out and asks if they are going somewhere. star points out that misty and dark energy were fused before with mighty and laughs. they fight it together and get the spirit of dark energy who was taking on the form of misty with a lazer puppet. star thinks that its the real one, but whisper points out that its just a copy. a lazer copy of misty appears and attacks. whisper decides to become star's temporary butler and star asks for a drink. after the dust settles it turns out whisper and star were hiding behind a rock. the mountain they were fighting on got almost destroyed and lazoid leaves. more lazer's fire and every body, even kirby gets hit. shu azure eye valt and aiger get angry that their attacks did nothing but while they are talking the get hit by a lazer and get teleported all around the globe. all of the attacks hit at once but they do nothing. Nate is making his yokai freinds use soultimates, shu, azure eye valt, and aiger are fighting him with beyblades while amy, mighty, star and misty use a team attack. In the opening cutscene you see every fighter starting to fight lazoid in their own style. =Story mode chapter 1: The unlikely duo.=
